Here's another great upload from Ed Conroy, the budding digital archivist behind the popular YouTube channel Retrontario.
In the 1980s, in an effort to replace the standard test pattern with something a little more compelling, Global videotaped three trips around Toronto, and then set the film to jazzy music. The programs were called Night Ride, Night Walk, and Night Moves, and were broadcast from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Global TV from 1986 to 1993. You can read more about the series here and on Torontoist.
After watching Night Ride, I think I need a nap.
